Your data
How to delete your data
Your WhatsApp phone number is your account. Everything we keep is tied to it, and you can have it removed — everything except a few records we keep, listed below. In the chat there is no form to fill and nothing to prove.
The quick way: one message
- Send the message delete my data to the LekhaJokha WhatsApp number, from the number you used.
- LekhaJokha asks you to confirm once, with two buttons. Tap Yes, delete all.
- If you have used up a free allowance, LekhaJokha cannot read new messages from you — so instead of typing, tap the Delete my data button on the message telling you the allowance is gone. It leads to the same confirmation. If you have simply sent a great many messages in one day, that button is not there because your normal access returns the next day; if you would rather not wait, email us at the address below.
- Your records and files are removed straight away, and you get a reply saying so: "Your records and stored files have been deleted. We keep limited delivery metadata for 14 days to stop old messages from restoring them. New messages start fresh." That reply is your confirmation. If you message again later, you start completely fresh.
- If that reply does not arrive — because our systems were having trouble at that moment — nothing has been deleted yet. Send the message again; if it still does not arrive, email us at the address below (next section).
If you cannot delete in the chat
- Email info@miboratech.com with the phone number the records belong to.
- Because the number is the account, we check that the request comes from its owner before deleting anything. If you still have that number on WhatsApp, we will ask you to send delete my data from it, as above — the chat's own confirmation is the proof. If you cannot, we will ask you three things only its owner would know: roughly when you first messaged, one or two things you recorded recently, and the business name you gave us, if you gave one. Two of them must match. If you gave none, say so; the other two must then both match. This is how we make sure nobody can delete someone else's records by email.
- Once we are satisfied, we delete your data (apart from the records listed below) and reply to your email to say it is done. You will hear from us within 14 days either way, usually much sooner. If we cannot satisfy ourselves that the request is the owner's, we will say so and explain why.
What gets deleted
- Every record: lists, payments, dues, notes.
- Every voice note, photo or file we kept, including the stored copies behind them.
- Every message you sent us and everything our systems made from it, including corrections.
- The copies of the replies LekhaJokha sent you, and the record of sending them.
- Your account itself: the number, the profile name, and the record of when you first agreed to use the service.
What is kept. A few records, none holding your name, number or anything you sent: an internal billing account number and the count of messages and photos used that month and that day; the cost of each AI call made for you; limited delivery metadata (14 days); and, if you started or made a purchase, the record of it. The privacy policy's clause 6.2 says more.
Two things are outside our records and outside our reach: the services that carried or read your messages (named in the privacy policy) may hold a short-term copy that they delete on their own schedule, typically within a month; and the chat itself stays on your own phone until you delete it there.
When we would say no
Only in one case: a request to delete records that belong to a different phone number than the one asking. We delete for the owner of the number, and for nobody else. If that happens we will say so plainly in our reply, and explain what the owner can do.
Checking the status of a request
In the chat, the confirmation reply is the status: once you see it, the deletion has happened; if it never arrives, it has not, and you should send the message again or email us. For an email request, our reply is the status, and you can write again at any time to ask where it stands.
