Questions
The things people ask first
If the answer is “not yet”, it says so. There is no version of this page where that is the wrong choice.

Ask a person
Write to info@miboratech.com — a person reads every one, usually the same day.
Do I have to install anything?
No. LekhaJokha is a WhatsApp number. If you have WhatsApp, you have everything you need — no app, no sign-up form, no password, nothing to keep updated.
What does it cost?
Nothing today. There is no payment link and no card anywhere in the product, and it is free while it is in early access.
When billing does start it is one plan and one price: a free week for every new number, then ₹299 a month. No introductory rate and no tiers — the same for everyone, so there is nothing to work out. It is written out under pricing, now, so that it is not a surprise later. We will tell you in the chat before any charge applies, and carrying on using a free tier will never be treated as agreeing to pay.
Which language should I write in?
Yours. Hinglish, Punjabi, English, or a mix — typed in any script. You never pick a category or fill a field; you write it the way you would say it.
One honest limit: its own words come back in English and Hinglish, in Latin script. It understands Gurmukhi and Devanagari but does not compose in them. Your words are a different matter — they are quoted back exactly as you said them, so a Gurmukhi voice note comes back with a Gurmukhi "Heard:" line above the record.
Can I send a voice note instead of typing?
Yes — and the reply shows you the words it heard before the record, so a mishearing is visible straight away rather than found months later.
Up to 30 seconds. That is the limit of the transcriber we use, not a choice we made. A longer note is still kept safely, costs you nothing, and comes back telling you it was too long — usually with its own length — so you can send it in shorter pieces.
Can it read a photo of my parcha?
Yes. Send a photo and it is kept safely against your number the moment it arrives, so it cannot be lost — and then it is read. A photographed list of things to buy becomes a list you can tick off. A payment screenshot becomes a payment, and can be attached to the record it proves. You always see what was read, next to what was saved.
A page is read up to forty lines and says if it could not take them all. A file over 5 MB is kept but not read, and after forty files in one day the rest are still kept safely — you send them again the next day. Video, stickers, a location and a contact card are not read at all.
An identity document is refused on purpose — an Aadhaar card, a PAN card, a licence: LekhaJokha recognises what it is, reads nothing off it, and offers you a one-tap delete.
Can I keep my shop's and my home's records apart?
Yes. Tell it your business's name once and every record goes in the right book — the business's or your personal one — and the reply names the book. When it cannot tell, it still saves the record and asks which. You can keep up to nine businesses as well as your personal book. How books work.
Can I split a trip with friends?
Yes, in a circle — a trip, or any cost you share. You add what each person paid and how to split it; LekhaJokha keeps the budget and shows who owes whom. Up to ten people, you included. How circles work.
Your friends join free and see the circle in their own chat — their balance, who owes whom, and the entries they are part of. Only you add or change entries, and nobody sees anyone's phone number.
Can my staff use it too?
Not yet. Today one person writes to their own books — up to nine businesses and a personal one. A trip's costs can be shared with friends in a circle, which they can see but not write to. A book your staff also write to, or a field representative's message reaching an owner's ledger, is not built yet.
That is where this is heading. If a team is your reason for being here, write to info@miboratech.com and we will tell you when it lands.
What if it gets something wrong?
It will, sometimes — a name misheard, an amount misread. That is why every reply shows exactly what was saved, at the moment it is saved — and an udhaar with a person shows what was read, in a form you check before you save it. Say what was wrong and it asks before it changes anything. Tap Undo under a reply to take back what that reply saved; type "undo" and it asks before it removes anything.
Please check amounts before you rely on one. It is an aid to memory, not a source of truth about money.
Will it remind me when something is due?
Not yet. A date you mention is recorded and shown when you ask for it, but nothing will ping your phone. We would rather say that plainly than have you wait for a reminder that never comes.
Will it remind the person who owes me?
Not yet, and it will not message them itself. What is planned is a reminder to you — a week before the date, on the day, then weekly — each with a ready message you forward from your own WhatsApp, if you choose to. More on udhaar.
Can it work out interest on an udhaar?
Being built now. A loan given at, say, 2% a month will be kept with its rate, and what is owed will be worked out for the day you ask. Until it is ready, an udhaar is kept at the amount you said.
Who can see my records?
You — and, for a circle you start, the people you let into it. They are never sold, and never used to advertise to you. Beyond a circle, they are shared only with the handful of services that make the thing work, and every one of them is named in the privacy policy.
On AI training the answer differs by service, so here it is plainly. The model that reads your typed words — and the photos and PDFs you send, which it reads too — does not train on them. The service that turns a voice note into text says it may use what it receives to improve its own models unless we opt out, and we have not completed that opt-out yet — so until this page says otherwise, treat the audio of a voice note as something that service may learn from. Typing is unaffected: text is never sent to it.
How do I delete everything?
Send delete my data in the chat and confirm once. Everything tied to your number goes — every record, every voice note and photo, the account itself — and you get a reply saying so. No form, no reason required, nothing to prove.
Two things it cannot reach, and we would rather say so: a file LekhaJokha has already sent back to you also sits in WhatsApp's own store for 30 days, and the chat stays on your phone until you clear it there.
The full detail, including what to do if you no longer have the number, is on how to delete your data.

LekhaJokha is being built and tested right now with a small group, on a private number. We will send you the number the day it opens.
