Split a trip with friends, right in the chat

Start a circle for a trip, or any cost you share. Add what each person paid; LekhaJokha splits it, keeps the budget and shows who owes whom. Your friends join free and see it in their own chat.

Start a Goa trip with Raju, Amit and Ramesh Goa trip budget 50000 Ramesh paid 2000 for dinner, split all

Each one is shown before it is saved — the split reads “Split 3 ways:”, with Save and Change split.

You keep the trip; everyone can see it

A circle is a trip, or another cost shared with others, that one person keeps — its owner. The people you let in see it, free.

One sentence, and the trip is ready

Name the trip and the people. LekhaJokha shows it before it creates it, and a budget is one more message.

  • The reply: “Goa Trip is ready: you, …”
  • A budget, with what is left after every expense: “Spent so far: ₹12,000 of the ₹50,000 budget — ₹38,000 left”
  • Going over the budget warns you; it never blocks you

The trip, its people and its budget — two messages.

Every way people really split

Say who paid and how it divides. You see the split before it is saved, and Change split fixes it.

  • Equally, by percentage, or fixed amounts with the rest shared equally
  • Only the people who shared — ticked off a list
  • Up to ten expenses in one message
Ramesh paid 2000 for dinner, split all Amit paid 900 for the taxi

Each expense is shown with its split before it is saved; Change split picks who shared.

Who owes whom, to the paisa

Every view shows what each person owes each other person. A repayment is recorded the same way, and the balance moves.

  • Balances between each pair, worked out from the entries
  • Record a repayment in words, and see the balance after it
  • A friend's payment to you outside the trip is asked about: “Is this ₹300 Raju paying you back for Goa Trip?”
Raju ne Ramesh nu 300 wapas dite

Shown as Raju paying Ramesh back, with the balance after it, then “Save this repayment?”

Friends join free, and see it in their chat

You send an invite; a friend sends the join message; you approve. From then on they can see the circle whenever they ask.

  • Their balance, who owes whom, and the entries they are part of
  • They can flag an entry that looks wrong, for you to check
  • Joining costs them nothing
  • “Nobody sees your number.” — and no photo or voice note is shown to them

The friend sends the join message, and you get Approve and Reject.

Change it, close it, or leave

An entry can be changed by you in words or with a tap. A friend can leave once nothing of theirs is open.

  • “the Goa dinner was 2500, not 2000” changes that entry
  • Close a trip when it is done — everyone can still see it
  • Remove someone from a date on; what they owe stays

Good to know: only the owner adds or changes entries. Up to ten people, you included. Friends are not sent each expense — they see it when they ask. If your plan ends, the circle stays visible but cannot be changed.

the Goa dinner was 2500, not 2000

Shown as a change before anything is saved.

What is coming for circles

A settle-up reminder you send

Tap Remind to send a friend a nudge about what they owe — at most once a week, and never on its own.

Friends adding expenses

Today only the owner writes to a circle. Letting the others add what they paid is on the list.
